Science Campaign & Project Logos for NOAA CSL

Science Campaign & Project Logos for NOAA Chemical Sciences Laboratory
The Chemical Sciences Laboratory (CSL) is one of ten federal research laboratories under the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research, which is the science and research support line office for the Agency. CSL performs scientific research to understand the chemical and physical processes that affect Earth's atmospheric composition and climate.

A major portion of CSL's research involves large-scale field campaigns to conduct measurements and investigate various aspects of air pollution and atmospheric chemistry. Many of these campaigns are airborne missions, performed with NOAA or NASA research aircraft.

It is a tradition within the scientific research community to name our large-scale field campaigns and missions and to design campaign logos that bedeck stickers, patches, t-shirts, and other "swag" for the campaign team to promote a collegial, team-oriented environment.

The following logos were created for a series of upcoming field campaigns led by NOAA CSL. This work was designed and created by Chelsea Thompson, in-house science communicator and graphic designer for CSL.
